Privacy policy
Nothing about your face leaves your phone
Last updated 19 October 2026
Face-It is a mobile game you play with your face. This policy explains what the app does with your camera, your microphone and your recordings, in plain words. The short version: nothing about your face leaves your phone, and the only thing that ever leaves your phone is a clip you choose to share.
What the camera is used for
Face-It uses the front camera to read your face while you play: whether you blink, open your mouth, smile, raise your eyebrows, and how your head is tilted. This reading happens entirely on your phone, frame by frame, and is discarded immediately. The app does not store face measurements, does not build a face template, does not identify you, and does not send any face data anywhere. No face data is used for advertising or analytics.
Recordings
While you play, Face-It records what is on the screen, including the camera image of your face, together with your microphone, so you can watch and share the clip afterwards. Recordings and clips are stored only on your phone, inside the app's own storage, and are excluded from cloud backups. You can watch, share, save to your photo library or delete any clip. The app keeps a limited number of clips and deletes older ones automatically.
Sharing is always your action. When you share a clip, it goes to the app you choose, and that app's own terms and privacy policy apply from then on.
Everything stays on your phone
All data the app creates, your clips, scores and settings, is stored only on your phone and is never shared unless you choose to share a clip yourself. Nothing is uploaded in the background, and there is no account to hold it.
What we collect
Nothing. Face-It has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising in this version. The app does not connect to our servers. Run scores and settings are stored only on your phone.
Children
Face-It is intended for players aged 13 and older. Younger children may play with a parent or guardian present, who should read this policy and accept the consent screen on their behalf. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children: nothing is stored or sent, and the only thing that can leave the phone is a clip a person chooses to share. If you are a parent or guardian and want a clip deleted from a shared destination, please use that service's tools; nothing is held by us.
Permissions
- Camera: to read your face and to show you in the recording.
- Microphone: to record your voice into the clip. You can decline; runs are then recorded without sound.
- Photo library (add only): to save a clip when you tap Save.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on request; everything is on your device and under your control. Questions about this policy: support.
Changes
We will update this page when the app changes in ways that affect your privacy, for example if a future version adds online leaderboards. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
